A toast to the groom! To the bride!

Updated: Sep 2, 2020

I was never a fan of the wedding ceremony. I think wedding ceremonies in Indonesia is an extravagant event that cost heaps of money with hundreds of unknown people flock in a limited space, sometimes not for the sake of the bride and groom. And as someone who really feels anxious and awkward in a place with lots of unknown faces, no wonder I rarely attend wedding ceremonies, unless it is the wedding of a close family member or someone who is very dear to me.

But life. Whoever thought I would take photography more....seriously? A month ago, a friend of mine asked whether I would like to join him to become a wedding photographer for his friend's wedding, and I said of course! And nope, you are not mistaken, it was a wedding during a pandemic, with proper social distancing protocol (hand sanitiser, face mask, and a limited number of people in the venue). Fani and Hanz wedding was indeed a very small, intimate, simple, and a lovely one, and they were very easy to work with, a true blessing for photographers :)

Without further ado, please find some of my favourite shots from the special day and my first experience as the second shooter for a wedding event.

Congrats, Fani and Hanz! Have a blessed marriage life!
